Summer Math Program

Cascade Heights’s Summer Math Program is designed to allow motivated students to repeat or move up a level in math, or to improve math skills for students in 4-8th grade. This year it will be offered in a camp format taught by Mr. Ransom from 8:00-11:30am on Wednesdays. Students may also sign up for individual sessions as enrichment if they are not planning on repeating or moving up a level. The cost is $50 per session or $250 for the summer.

July 17th: Multiplication and Division
July 24th: Decimals
July 31st: Fractions
August 7th: Geometry
August 14th: Algebra and Algebraic Expressions
August 21st: Review and Final

In order to repeat or move up a level, students will need to attend all five sessions and complete 10 lessons (odds, so 15 problems each) and an investigation every week as homework. Please be sure that your family can commit to this before signing up.

Students will take the final on August 21st. Scoring 80% or higher on the final is required for students to move on to the next level.

To participate, please return the attached form before the Last day of school June 4th. Electronic Versions are fine!

If you plan to participate, inform your student's current teacher that they need the textbook over the summer so they can do their homework please!
-Mr. Ransom
